David has an Honours Degree in Psychology and a Diploma from the British Medical Hypnotherapy Examinations Board with distinction. He is certified as a clinical trauma professional and a registered supervisor for the London College of Clinical Hypnosis.

He has been a full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis since 1997, combining clinical hypnotherapy with cognitive behavioural therapy and other approaches to meet a wide variety of client needs, including stress management, behavioural change, clinical depression and trauma treatment.

As an independent educational consultant, David offers advice, assessment and specialist tuition. He has a wide range of experience, including junior, secondary, sixth form and undergraduate levels. He has offered study skills courses and taught psychology at A level. He has also served as a SENCO and as a member of the Special Needs Advisory Service. From 2007 to 2013, he was acting Specialist Teacher in a local secondary school, responsible for specialist tuition and access arrangements.
